Once again, the major stock indexes around the world are trading higher this morning. The S&P 500 Index e-mini futures (ES Z1) are trading higher by 6.00 points to 1141.00 per contract. The markets will try to make it a three day winning streak by the close of the session this afternoon. Last night, the Asian markets rallied higher. The Hang Seng Index (Hong Kong) surged higher by 5.67 percent. Earlier today, the European Central Bank (ECB) kept their key interest rate unchanged. Many investors were expecting the ECB to cut rates. The Bank of England also kept rates unchanged but announced an additional £75 billion of asset purchases raising their quantitative easing program to £275 billion. It is amazing that countries continue to believe that more debt is the answer to their problems. Well, in any case, the European markets are trading higher across the board. We shall see how long this rally lasts as the markets tries to extend its winning streak to three days in a row. Less
